About emily & Fire and Earth Yoga
I found yoga in my early 20’s. Yoga helped me center and destress while traveling for work. Suffering from breathing difficulties all of my life, I have always found yoga as a means to end the late night rushes to the hospital. Yoga is my therapy and helps with my physical and mental wellbeing. It has helped me through health troubles, grief and many other life experiences. I enjoy guiding yogis through their practice, hoping to give them peace during their day and to find calmness in their body and mind. You will find fluid movement as well as breathwork and mantra in my classes. As a prenatal yoga instructor I enjoy being a part of the pregnancy journey and being a resource to feel empowered within the body and mind during such a big change in life!
Fire and Earth Yoga developed after meeting my fiance Terry. We are both interested in alchemy symbolism and history. I am very much the fire symbol and he represents earth, we keep each other balanced. This also pertains to the practice of yoga, building fire within and being grounded to the Earth with the body.
Emily received her 200 RYT certification from Empower Yoga in Milwaukee and her Prenatal & Postnatal yoga certification from Devi Ma Yoga in New York.
